French police are negotiating with two suspects in Dammartin-en-Goele after the murders of 12 people at the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris on Wednesday and a police officer yesterday.
:: The two brothers being hunted by police are Said, 34, and Cherif Kouachi, 32. A third suspect Mourad Hamyd, 18, surrendered at a police station on Wednesday evening. His relationship to the brothers is unclear.
:: Phone contact has been made between police negotiators and the pair, who have taken a hostage reported to be a 26-year-old man.
:: The stand-off at an industrial estate comes after a 48-hour manhunt during which almost 90,000 French police officers and soldiers were mobilised for the manhunt.
:: The brothers fled the capital on Wednesday after their attack, in which they stormed the offices of the magazine before shooting dead a police officer in the street.

:: On Thursday there were reports of a robbery at a petrol station roughly a 25-minute drive northeast from Dammartin-en-Goele where the owner recognised the two brothers.
:: After a search of a thick forest in the area which lasted into the night, they broke cover and hijacked a Peugeot 206 from a woman, who told police she also recognised the pair.
:: There was a shoot-out and the brothers escaped along the N2 road and reached the industrial building, believed to be a printers.
:: A local MP has told media the "fugitives have said they want to die as martyrs".
:: Residents are being told to stay at home, switch off the lights, and stay away from their windows. Schools have been evacuated.
:: Two Air France planes were forced to abort their landing at Paris's main Charles-de-Gaulle airport, which is seven miles from the scene, and the airport closed two runways.
:: Reports are now emerging of another shooting at a kosher grocery store in eastern Paris, where one person has been injured and at least five people hostage. It is not clear whether this has any links to the brothers, who are French-born sons of Algerian-born parents, but officials are now linking them to the shooting in the south of Paris on Thursday.
