The world's former fattest man, who once weighed in at 88 stone, has died aged 48 after being bedridden for more than a decade.
Manuel Uribe passed away in hospital in Monterrey, Mexico, on Monday, having been admitted a few days earlier with heart problems.

Once certified by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's heaviest man in 2006 when he weighed 88 stone (560kg), a diet brought Mr Uribe's weight down to 57 stone (394kg), but a crane was still needed to take him to hospital.
In addition to a cardiac condition, Mr Uribe, known as "Meme" to his friends, was also believed to have suffered from liver problems.

As a teenager Mr Uribe weighed 18 stone (115kg) and he continued to pile on the pounds.
Since the summer of 2002 he had been bedridden, relying on his mother and friends to feed and clean him.
