Two members of the Greek far-right party Golden Dawn have been killed in a drive-by shooting in Athens.
The men, who were both in their 20s, were gunned down outside the group's offices in the suburb of Neo Iraklio by two attackers who fled on a motorbike.
One of the men was killed instantly, while the second died later in hospital.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which raised fears of an escalation of political violence in Greece.
About 50 Golden Dawn supporters held a brief demonstration at the murder scene, as scores of police in riot gear moved to cordon off surrounding streets.
Greece's public order minister Nikos Dendias expressed his "sadness at the death of the young men", adding: "We will not allow our country to become a place to settle scores."
The shooting happened outside the local offices of the Golden Dawn party Simos Kedikoglou, a spokesman for the government, said the attackers would be pursued "relentlessly".
The deaths came amid a continuing government crackdown on Golden Dawn, which was triggered by the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, an anti-fascist hip hop artist, on September 18.
Six members, including leader Nikos Michaloliakos, deputy leader Christos Pappas and MP Yiannis Lagos, are accused of involvement in a criminal organisation.
Golden Dawn, described by the Greek government as a "neo-Nazi gang", is the country's third most popular party and holds 18 seats in parliament.
It has capitalised on widespread anger over immigration and austerity reforms in debt-ridden Greece, which is in its sixth year of recession and where youth unemployment stands at 60%.
